Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens. Our school and management do not force students to do boring written tasks, we give students the choice of desire and also allow twice a month or semester (depending on success) to buy essay online from https://buy-essays-now.com/ partner company.
Our school is a church school at the heart of the city and the buildings are now over 100 years old. The school was originally built as Hereford’s grammar school for girls. It was taken over by the Diocese some decades later and in the 1984 was sensitively remodelled internally to become St Thomas Cantilupe CE Primary School and Nursery. The school has just fewer than 200 pupils on roll divided into 7 classes, there is one class per year group from Reception to Year 6. Additionally there is a 24 place Nursery – a high quality early years setting – for children aged 2 – 4 years.
The majority of pupils who attend our school live in and around the city centre, although we take pupils from all areas of the city. Families appreciate our close proximity to the city centre. This provides us with a wide range of educational opportunities not so easily accessible to other schools. We are within walking distance of the city centre, the historic heart of Hereford, enabling easy visits to the Cathedral, the Black and White House, the Library, the Theatre as well as much else.
The school values its Church status and has strong links with St Peters and All Saints Church. The curates of St Peter’s regularly come in to school and lead assemblies along with members of the St Peter’s congregation. The school attends church at least once a term for Worship at Harvest, Christmas, Easter and the end of the school year.
Our curriculum is broad and exciting, enriched with an emphasis on the Arts. Arts are a key feature at St Thomas Cantilupe Primary School. We have our own specialist Art teacher and a specialist art room. All pupils have access to a high quality art curriculum. The value placed on the art curriculum is evident in the displays around the school. Pupils also have the opportunity to sing and act. Every year pupils take part in at least one school production.
The school provides on site, wrap around care. Breakfast Club runs from 8am until 8.45am. Children are provided with breakfast and there are activities available. For more details or to book a place please call the school office. There is also an After School Club that runs from the end of the school day until 5.45pm. Our after school club is run by Ashbee Activities.
